My Journey to 20 Stories πŸ˜ƒ

I can't believe I have written 20 stories.

I still remember the days I had just started writing on Medium. In the beginning, I used to write a single big chunk of words and call it an article. πŸ˜‚

Write more and more

Then I wrote more and more of those big chunks, and one lovely human advised me to break it into small paragraphs of a few lines. I did that, and those big chunks suddenly become more readable.

As a writer, I was improving with every story I posted. πŸ˜‡

Break into several key ideas

Then I started naming those paragraphs and organising them in a sensible order to make the flow.

It turned the same seemingly boring story into an amazing read 😁

And it also increased its impact many times. 😎

Link your previous stories

We often develop upon an idea shared in a previous story. Then it makes sense to link that story to the body of the content. For example, I recently reached the 50 followers mark. So here is the story about my journey to 50 followers.πŸ‘‡

Share it with your friends

After you are satisfied with your creation, it's time to know what others think about it.

Share your story with friends who can give you constructive feedback.

You can directly ask what can be improved in the story. You will be surprised to know their opinion. They can also suggest new topics to write about and what more do you need? πŸ˜ƒ

In the beginning, you should not focus on the quality of the content. Rather, you should focus on writing consistently, which will eventually improve your writing skills.

However, one should always be mindful of grammatical errors and typos. I recommend using a proofing tool like Grammarly.

(Thank you James Bellerjeau for pointing this out.)

If you follow this mantra, you will have huge content and great writing skills in no time. As a result, you will have a good following.

Happy writing!
